The Cuyamaca College women's cross country team closed out their conference season with another strong performance at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Harry Griffen Park, highlighted by two top-10 finishers and significant year-to-year progress across the roster.
Sophomore Marseel Bahnan continued her standout season, placing 3rd overall in 20:50. Bahnan has made a remarkable jump since joining the program last year, when she opened her rookie season with a 24:51 at Golden West (2024). This fall, she set a personal best of 19:28 at the UC Riverside Invitational — a personal record that established her among the top runners in the PCAC.
Freshman Tabitha Reardon delivered a strong performance as well, placing 9th in 23:37. Reardon also set her personal best at the UC Riverside Invitational, running 22:44, and has shown consistent improvement throughout her first collegiate season.
Freshman Takyrah Ferguson has also made major strides for the Coyotes. She set her personal best of 23:10 at UC Riverside. Her times have dropped meet after meet.
The women's program has taken a significant step forward this season under the leadership of Coach Thom Hunt and Coach Tim Seaman, with multiple athletes achieving lifetime bests, stronger team finishes, and consistent improvement every week.
The Coyotes now shift their focus to the SoCal Regional Championships, set for Friday, November 7, as they aim to continue their momentum and extend their postseason run.
