Shania White is a sophomore point guard and team captain who brings poise, pace control, and vocal leadership to the Coyotes. She started hooping at seven and grew into a floor general who organizes teammates, communicates coverages, and wins the small possessions that decide close games. A Bonita Vista High School graduate, she helped her team win regionals and discovered the number that became her identity: as a freshman she chose #0 “zero interest in picking numbers”and it stuck. Now No. 0 is part of her calling card: calm in chaos, clear in huddles, steady from tip to horn.

White draws inspiration from Kobe Bryantt, keeping this close: “I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have a fear of failure… You don’t deny it, but you don’t capitulate to it. You embrace it.” That mindset fuels her approach to practice, film, and game night. On the floor she presses advantages with clean pick-and-roll reads, early paint touches, and relentless screen navigation on defense; off the floor, she models captain standards arriving early, leading huddles, and keeping the group aligned.

A Psychology major,, she’s as curious about confidence and team chemistry as she is about the next scout. Grateful for the game and the people it’s brought into her life, White is committed to representing Cuyamaca with discipline, teamwork, and pride one possession at a time.
