The friendly rivalry at the top of the Coyote distance squad reached a new milestone this Saturday. Ivan Guzman crossed the finish line in the 3000m with a time of 8:42.87, securing the victory and officially breaking the school record previously held by his teammate, Steven Valadez Jr. (8:46).

Guzman's record is a testament to the elite training environment fostered by Coaches Tim Seaman and Thom Hunt. With this performance, Guzman remains the "Gold Standard" for distance running in the PCAC, adding the 3000m record to a resume that includes an undefeated conference cross country season and a 4th-place state finish.
